Okinawan · Tustin · 5 source comments

Habuya in Tustin, an okinawan dining place. Owned by an amazing and fierce okinawan lady. Best time to go is 10 min before they open because they fill up immediately, and the wait list grows to about 30 parties by 5:30

Tama Sushi

Sushi · Huntington Beach · 9 source comments

Mitasie Vegan Cafe in Lake Forest. They only have this location and their original location in HB (their HB location is a full service sit down restaurant unlike their LF location). I also liked Huntington Ramen in Fullerton and Tama Sushi in HB, but I haven't been to them in a while.

Kappo Honda

Japanese · Fountain Valley · 7 source comments

FV Shin-Sen-Gumi, sit at the bar and enjoy an amazing bowl of ramen and green tea. I’ve eaten alone there plenty of times. Kappo Honda is second and right across the street from shin sen gumi as well, also eat at the bar.

Irassae

Sushi · Huntington Beach · 5 source comments

My go to place is called Irassae, on Adams and Magnolia. It’s very good but pretty small, they have maybe 10 tables. Their scallop and red snapper nigiri are my favorite.

The Rice in Foothill Ranch (Lake Forest). The owners are from Japan and really take pride in using quality ingredients and offer seasonal menus — their duck soba during summer was amazing 🤤

Crazy Rock’n Sushi

Sushi · Fullerton · 5 source comments

My wife and daughter (both from Japan) love Kaori sushi in Fullerton. They always get the premium chirashi sushi - a generous amount of good sashimi at a decent price. I’m vegetarian so can’t really speak to it lol.

The Sushi by Jin

Sushi · Fullerton · 2 source comments

The Sushi by Jin at Orangethorpe and Brookhurst is currently our favorite place for AYCE. Quality is always good. On our last visit they were a little short handed, but normally the servers are all very attentive and on top of things. At the end of the meal they always offer a small portion of matcha ice cream on the house.

Nori Poke and Sushi

Sushi · Huntington Beach · 2 source comments

Nori Poke and Sushi in the Walmart neighborhood market parking lot on Beach and Atlanta, it's near Starbucks. My wife and I both have Celiac Disease and they have so many gluten free sauces, can make almost anything gluten free, and the fish is always so fresh and delicious. I recommend them 10/10.

Fisherman’s Table Yamasaki

Sushi · Huntington Beach · 5 source comments

Fisherman’s table! It’s off Warner and Gothard. Seriously some of the best sushi I’ve ever had. No fancy rolls with shitloads of mayo and sauce on them. Just no nonsense, amazing quality, real wasabi, limited menu based on freshness and quality.
