American Diner · San Juan Capistrano · 3 source comments

Mollie's in San Juan Capistrano just very solid old school American diner place. Really good fried chicken, chicken fried steak, classic breakfasts like pancakes or Eggs Hollandaise.

Delice Breton

French · San Juan Capistrano · 1 source comments

I like Delice Breton in San Juan Cap off of Ortega highway. It's a small little French cafe that mostly a breakfast place. It's in a commercial parking lot, so not the best location but food is good and service is good too. Plenty of parking though, which is why I like it!

Plant Depot

San Juan Capistrano · 1 source comments

Vine, Nick’s, and South of Nick’s (Mexican) are all favorites for dinner. Sea Summit trail has beautiful views. Not sure about specific birding areas, but if you enjoy plants, visit Plant Depot in San Juan Capistrano; you will see hummingbirds and lots of other beautiful birds there, too. My guests from out of town loved going there. Enjoy!

As a non-hiker non-birder, will comment on the food side of things! Seasurf Fish Co has to be the winner for combo of price / quality / the type of food you would want in a cute beach town. Depending how much you care about food you might want to venture into Dana Point and San Juan Capistrano.…
