Siam Station and Manaao are both really good. Manaao is also opening up at Irvine Spectrum soon.

Siam Station is my favorite spot in Irvine. I am not sure if they have the dish you are looking for though

Stoner fries from Lupe's, Indian style pizza and wings from Curry Pizza House (next to Lupe's), corned beef and pastrami sandwich from Benjie's NY Deli (Tustin). If you're looking for something lighter, Maji Curry or Siam Station.

• uroko cafe (poke) - belacan grill (malaysian) - a&j restaurant (taiwanese) - pho 79 / phoholic / pho 54 (in garden grove / westminster, a bit farther) - kaju soft tofu - tang 190, yuk dae jang (korean comfort food) - meiji seimen (udon) - siam station / thai cafe - shancheng lameizi hotpot - all that shabu (AYCE hotpot) - kagura (best katsu i've had)

Honda-ya is soooo good but adds up quickly with all the yakitori. Kolache factory for on the go eats. Habanero , Sgt. Pepperoni, Yoshiharu had a delicious spare rib ramen I enjoyed, even though it's gringo, I love Miguel's lol. Slapfish, House of Kabob, Siam station, Yellow chili, I have a soft spot for The winery because I enjoy cigars . Just off the top of my head of what I enjoy.

2nd Siam Station. Also Manaao in Tustin and Elephant Cafe in Lake Forest are both very good. A bit different but Belacan Grill in Tustin has amazing chicken satay skewers but Malaysian style
