French’s Bakery - Fairview and Baker next to Hoag. Been around since at least the 70s, and I still drive in from the IE on occasion to pick up some French’s goodness. Catty corner from Li’l Pickle - my go-to choice when I need a great sandwich! Since I’m 30+ miles away, I usually hit both places before I head home LOL

Meiji seimen and Kagura are two of my favorites. KaDon (a few doors down from La Palma burrito) is a good katsu place similar to Kagura but less crowded. My favorite ramen is Kitakata. Lil’ Pickle for sub sandwiches. Capital Noodle Bar. And Simply Fish for the best taco Tuesday

Lil Pickle is the best!! Growing up, that’s where cops & fire dept ate all the time - usually means a place is economical, fast, tasty, and no health code issues. We will still drive the 35 miles if we are craving an amazing sub.
