Don’t bother. As most have said, go to Santa Ana. Try El Toro Carnicería off 1st and Bristol. Legit butcher shop+market. Butcher shop sells tacos, burritos, etc. next geographically closest thing I’d recommend is Taqueria de Anda (“TDA”) in Lake Forest off Rockfield.Read the full comment on Reddit →

La Farola is an Argentinian restaurant in Costa Mesa and has the best Empanadas. It’s also inexpensive. Chaak in Tustin is Mayan/mexican and is so good. El toro caniceria or taqueria jalapeño in Santa Ana are both good Mexican food options. The Mexican food in Santa Ana and Costa Mesa are WAY better than Irvine.Read the full comment on Reddit →
