Pop’s cafe

Korean · Santa Ana · 4 source comments

Pop’s cafe on 9th and Main in Santa Ana. The original cute Korean couple who ran it for decades bought it back from an entrepreneur who was trying to make a quick buck. They take care of everyone and have a bunch of regulars who show up for breakfast every morning.

Taqueria El Gordito

Mexican · Santa Ana · 3 source comments

Been going to Tacos el Bandido Express in Tustin lately. Other places I liked closed or worsened. I used to like Taquiero Taco Patio (1 by UCI; 1 at Alton/Jeffrey), but their meats started tasting bland to me and sauces not that spicy. Someone mentioned Taqueria el Gordito (Grand/4th Ave in Santa Ana). That's been in my bookmarks for a couple months now based on reviews I've seen.

Darkroom

Santa Ana · 3 source comments

Darkroom probably the best pound for pound restaurant in OC atm. Selannes for a more classic steakhouse approach. Strong Water for a fun night out while still getting a quality meal and drinks.

Nate's Korner

Deli · Santa Ana · 4 source comments

I second the other comments about everyday eatery. It’s great and tastes clean. Aloha stacks is also another solid option albeit slightly more unhealthy. Nearby in Santa Ana is Nate’s if you’re looking to indulge in something heavier
