IMO, all the chain steakhouses are overrated - Mortons, Ruths Chris, etc.
Not all of these are fancy sit-down places, but as far as the food itself goes, all are highly recommended.
Anaheim White House, Orange Hill Restaurant (technically not Anaheim, but very close), The Ranch, Roys, Okayama…
I’d recommend checking out The Ranch as well, it’s just a short 5-minute drive east of Disneyland, excellent food. The Anaheim White House is a scenic and historical option, but service and portion size is lacking.
The Ranch if you guys feel like high end steak restaurant with some good wine selections. King’s in Orange but it’s by the Anaheim angel’s stadium, for seafood. The White House for Italian. For some casual dining, try The Packing House for a wide selection of restaurants.
Another vote for tacos Los cholos. If you don’t want to wait in the always long lines at Tacos Los Cholos, try Pur Vida in downtown on center street. More of an “upscale” taco place but very good.
For fine dining, the Ranch is one of my favorite places. Also The White House on Anaheim blvd. They…
I can second The Ranch. Note there are two connected facilities there. One is the great restaurant, and one is the saloon. Go to the restaurant.
Strong water is also excellent. Worth checking out.
Another option is The White House. Good Italian food, and the chef does a lot in the community for kids.
Fine dining:
Anqi in Costa Mesa
Broadway by Amar in Laguna Beach
The White House in Anaheim
Taco Rosa in Tustin
The Winery in Tustin
Farmhouse at Roger's Gardens in Newport Beach
Park Avenue in Stanton
The Hobbit in Orange
Zov's in Tustin
Habana in Costa mesa or Irvine Spectrum
Bistango…
Anaheim White House if you want a white tablecloth and neat experience.
If that's not really your speed, the Anaheim Packing House / district has some really good restaurants that are sit down but not overly fancy. En Cultura, Rolling Boil, and Wooden Pearl are some of the highlights. En Familia is another one just outside the main building. Merchant Directory
