The Cliff

Laguna Beach · 3 source comments

I just got back from a weeklong trip to Anaheim. It was my first time visiting California as well, which has been on my bucket list for most of my life. While there, Laguna Beach was at the top of my list of places to visit. While we unfortunately only got to spend an afternoon at Laguna Beach, it…

Hello! In terms of location, Casa Loma Beach Hotel is unbeaten. Can't speak on what it's like to stay there, but I've always thought u would want to stay there. HARD AVOID Las Brisas, which is a restaurantright next door. God knows how they stay open, the food is atrocious. Look up Gelato…

Gelato Paradiso

Dessert · Laguna Beach · 2 source comments

February usually has the coldest weather and water temperature, but there’s still plenty of things to do. I’d suggest you walk around Heisler park, explore some coves during lower tides, hike Top of the World, and shop/gallery browse in downtown. For dinner eat at South of Nicks and for dessert eat at Gelato Paradiso. That should have you covered for touristy stuff.

Laguna Classic Cars

Hell no to capital seafood. Peking duck portion was small. They have/had fried Chilean sea bass- don’t need to say more. China garden is okay. Has the ambiance and decent food. Delicious food corner has a causal ambiance but the food is surprisingly good. Classic in Laguna Niguel is good and only a couple miles from the Spectrum

Rasta Taco

Mexican · Laguna Beach · 3 source comments

Generally, southern oc mexican is mediocre. Go down to sd or further north if you want good, authentic mexican. That being said, I actually think Rasta Taco has the best fish tacos. Taco loco is overrated and quite bad imo.

Splashes, Laguna Beach if you can get a table next to the ocean. Great view + can walk around beforehand. It’s been a long while since I’ve been, and I haven’t gone since renovation but they used to have a larger outdoor table Not sure how upscale you’re trying to go esp w the kiddos but if you’re…

Broadway Street

Laguna Beach · 2 source comments

If you’re ok with a lively place Broadway is really great. So is Oliver’s. So is Selanne. The food is great at all 3. You’ll be fine dressed up. If you want quieter selanne and ask for a seat in the dining room not the bar area. If you avoid expensive alcohol these 3 will be about $100 / person. Selanne may be a bit more depending.
