Burnt Crumbs Irvine

Irvine · 7 source comments

Rachael’s Mexican is good for work since it’s not that crazy big and is fast and reliable. Blueberry Social is popular but overpriced imo. Everyday Eatery is also popular but kinda just plain. Burnt Crumbs is good. And so is Lupe’s but that’s border-line Lake Forest. Sessions has a pretty good…

Natraj's Tandoori

Indian · Irvine · 3 source comments

Seconding on Southern Spice. It's a little more expensive but it's totally worth it. If you just want fast casual, there's an Indian food bar at Wholesome Choice or you can head over to Natraj's Tandoori. Natraj's has big portions and does a lot of offers for like buy 1 get 1 or a free mango lassi…

Taqueria Tacos Patio

Mexican · Irvine · 5 source comments

You may want to check out Taquiero Taco Patio in Irvine. It's not quite as cheap as a taco truck but the tacos have plenty of meat and they have some rare choices like cochinita pibil (spicy roasted pork).

Kuan Zhai Alley

Chinese · Irvine · 2 source comments

A lot of good recommendations on this list already but if you are looking for that Szechwan spicy Chinese style cooking, I came across Kuan Zhai Alley next to Fukada last month. I didn’t think much of it and tried it on a whim and it hit a craving I never thought I had. It’s numbing (in a good way), spicy, and delicious. My mouth is watering thinking about it. Highly recommended.

The best tacos in Irvine are from the pop-up taco stand on the 5 South ramp at Jeffrey and it isn’t particularly close. 12/01/2024 Edit: Since this post is still getting traction, I went and got some more info from them. They said they're there everyday, set up at 5, and are there till they close.…

New Yorks upper crust pizza on Alton and Jeffery. I worked there when I was 16. I’m 35 now and I still crave it. You can get it by the slice or a whole pie. Their Caesar dressing is made in house from scratch. Top notch ingredients. After that, rays pizza at uci center

Meizhou Dongpo

What kind of food do you prefer? Among Chinese restaurants, I always enjoy taking small groups to Meizhou Dongpo (on Culver Street in Irvine), as they have excellent food, a broad menu, and round tables good for conversation.
