FV Shin-Sen-Gumi, sit at the bar and enjoy an amazing bowl of ramen and green tea. I’ve eaten alone there plenty of times. Kappo Honda is second and right across the street from shin sen gumi as well, also eat at the bar.

Go to lucky Chinese food in fountain valley at brookhurst and Ellis. Obviously it’s not Costa Mesa but it’s not far and totally worth it. It’s cash only and usually a line but definitely the best around here.

Moonlight Pizza in FV. Owned by an Armenian family since the 80s. I love ordering their vegetable pizza (which includes roastes eggplant) and smearing the garlic sauce on top. Also the lunch and dinner buffet is affordable and fabulous. Edit: Another FV classic: Union Jacks fish and chips.
