Truly and Apizza Doho in Dana Point are my choice for best. Gibronis is worth mentioning for Detroit style. Pizza Port is the best for beer and pizza, the lunch slices always taste better than the full pie and it's an incredible deal if you just want a couple of slices and a brew.

Have you tried Thai This in Dana Point? I haven’t been there in many years as I don’t live in SoCal anymore, but I remember it was really good when I went.

One thing to know is that Laguna isn’t one beach, it’s a series of beaches and coves, each with its own vibe. Off the top of my head there are about 15 that you can actually go to. My favorites are Woods Cove, Moss Beach, Thalia, Boat Canyon and Rockpiles.Renting a SUP or kayak at Boat Canyon might…

Everyday Eatery, but it’s definitely not an affordable option if you plan on going multiple times a week. Gelsons has a cheaper alternative that’s still pretty decent.

Sonny’s for Italian, south of Nicks for overly expensive Americanized but delicious food, Pedro’s for cheap fast food, fishermen’s for on the pier/total sc vibes. Dana point for Gianas!! Now hikes, Laguna beach has amazing hikes!! I suggest those more than sc. but the beach trail is pretty.

Dana Point Harbor offers whale watching and it’s the beginning of whale season. In March, we usually have the Festival of Whales to celebrate. Great places to get food and drinks in the harbor too, Turks if you’re down for a colorful dive bar with a view. Not sure age of everyone you’re traveling…

Hello! In terms of location, Casa Loma Beach Hotel is unbeaten. Can't speak on what it's like to stay there, but I've always thought u would want to stay there. HARD AVOID Las Brisas, which is a restaurantright next door. God knows how they stay open, the food is atrocious. Look up Gelato…
