Get out of OC to Little India in Artesia, go to Udipi , for south indian food (dosa, vada) which is VASTLY different than normal north indian food (naan, butter chicken, etc)

Anjappar in Tustin is pretty good. Authentic south indian food. Masala Bae is another good one.
