I live in LA, so not an expert by any means, but my faves when I’m visiting family in OC are Ma’s Chinese in Placentia — a Muslim/Uighur Chinese place with really unique (and delicious) flavors, and Cham Soot Gol kbbq in Garden Grove (this one I’m guessing is actually fairly well known).

Haven’t found anything in HB that is truly worth it. Chada Thai in garden grove is my favorite, reminds me of the food I had in Thailand. Nok’s kitchen isn’t Thai but Laotian and really good/worth a try, while having some similar dishes to Thai.
